Management Process
Our framework emphasizes the disciplined approach to prioritizing quality, diversification, and sound risk management.
Identification and selection: The management process begins with identifying and selecting premium rum casks from distilleries that meet the Rare Spirits Society's strict quality standards. The team of experts at Rare Spirits Society conducts thorough due diligence on each potential partner distillery to ensure their spirits meet the society's standards. The team considers factors such as the distillery's reputation, the quality of the spirit, the type of aging barrel, and the aging environment.
Transfer to Rare Spirits Society's reserved area: Once premium rum casks are selected, they are transferred to the partnered distillery's Rare Spirits Society storage section to begin aging. During this time, the Rare Rum Collection is regularly monitored to ensure the quality and value of the casks. Regular sensory evaluations and chemical analyses are conducted to ensure the quality of each barrel of Rum.
Exit strategy determination: Once a certain age has been reached or the market conditions are favorable, the management team will determine the best exit strategy for each cask. The exit strategies for the Rare Rum Collection include reselling the barrels to the original distillery once a certain age has been reached, selling the barrels to independent bottlers or brokers that need a certain type of Rum, offering the barrels to Rare Spirits Society members, or bottling the Rum within the barrels and selling the bottles either to Rare Spirits Society members or people outside the society.
The management process is designed to ensure the Rare Rum Collection's highest quality and maximize value for members. By leveraging the management team's expertise and the membership base's collective knowledge, the Rare Spirits Society creates a unique and rewarding experience for its members.
