The collection philosophy of Rare Spirits Society.

Rare Spirits Society believes in the value of rare rum casks. The collection strategy will focus on acquiring premium rum casks from the best distilleries worldwide to build a unique Rare Rum Collection. The Collection will be diversified. The benefits of collecting rare rum casks include the potential for low correlation with traditional assets, solid historical performance, and unique experiences and emotional engagement.

We will implement a disciplined collection approach that involves a clear and well-defined collection philosophy and process that guides decisions. This includes a focus on quality, which in the case of Rare Spirits Society means sourcing only the highest quality premium rum casks from the best distilleries worldwide.

Diversification is a critical component of our collection strategy. By diversifying the reserve, we aim to reduce the risk that may arise from collecting from only a handful of distilleries. This involves investing in rums of different profiles, including provenance, liquid type, type of aging barrel, and aging environment, and rums of different ages to rotate the barrels for more efficiency.

Sound risk management is essential to protect the value of our Collection. This includes regularly monitoring market conditions, risk assessment of individual barrels, and strict adherence to our collection philosophy and process. We also have exit strategies in place to manage risk, including reselling barrels to the original distillery once a certain age has been reached, selling barrels to independent bottlers or brokers that need a particular type of Rum from our supply, selling barrels to our members, or bottling the Rum from our barrels and offer them to our members.
